Smile Foundation reaches out to the Teshie community
On the 22nd of November 2024, the Awua-Mensah Smiles Foundation took a significant step towards realizing our vision of a world where everyone smiles with confidence. Our team embarked on a community outreach program in Teshie, screening children aged 2-12 for oral health issues.
Beyond the screenings, we emphasized the importance of oral hygiene through interactive sessions, teaching children the ‘brushing song’ and the ‘brushing pledge.’ We distributed free toothpaste from Pepsodent Ghana to encourage daily oral care.
This initiative aligns with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 3, 4, and 10, focusing on good health and well-being, quality education, and reduced inequalities. By addressing oral health, we’re not only improving physical health but also contributing to overall well-being and educational attainment.
We’re grateful for the opportunity to make a difference in these young lives. However, we can’t do it alone. We invite you to join us in our mission to provide accessible and quality dental care to underserved communities. Whether it’s a donation, a volunteer hour, or simply spreading the word, your support can make a significant impact.
Let’s work together to create a future where everyone smiles with confidence.
